Mont Blanc Legend Intense (Launch + Review)

A week back, I was privileged to attend the launch of Mont Blanc's new fragrance for men, Legend Intense, which is a new version of their best selling Legend parfum.

"Faithful to the contemporary elegance of Montblanc, Legend Intense maintains the timeless and sophisticated signature of the original fragrance, Legend, worked in a version made of strength and contrast for a warmer and more intense, sensual scent."

Parfumer, Olivier Pescheux, asserts the sharp top, teasing the primitive fern harmony with a duo of cardamom and Pepperwood® scents. Exuding vivacity at its heart is an amalgamation of clear jasmine, white cedarwood, Pomarose ® and crisp red apple.

Fresh, woody and willowy, this vibrant personality is ensriched with unusual woods, warm but dry, ardent but precise, reflecting mysterious virility and sensuality. Wrapped in Evernyl (molecule derived from oak moss), the talismanic raw material of Montblanc Legend, and the olfactory power of tonka bean, this supplement of soul adds a powerful yet subtle breath to the creation.

Review

Upon receiving the bottle, I immediately found the gunmetal finish very masculine and sleek. It really does exude a sophisticated and manly aura, which is definitely reflected in the scent itself. To be honest though, I still prefer its predecessor, in that it is lighter and more similar to what my boyfriend usually wears, whereas Intense is a bit sweeter and yes, stronger than the previous. That's not too say that Intense is less wonderful, it's all just a matter of preference, and Legend Intense is definitely for classy men who prefer warmer and sexier fragrances.

I've always loved Black and monochrome outfits but since I turned blonde I felt that it didn't suit me as much as when I had black hair. But paired with red/dark lipstick, turns out that it's not so bad (I think)!  

Summer Colours

My preference for a sunny day to a rainy one yet my perpetual fear of being exposed to the sun shows how much of a conflicting personality I have. And though I love the beach and just relaxing by lying on the sand, it is difficult to convince me to swim under the scorching heat of the sun's rays. Which is why summer is a love-hate relationship with me; I love it for its brightness and cheerfulness and being a reason for vacations, yet I totally abhor the sticky, humid, merciless heat that comes with it. Nevertheless, I've no regrets in living in a tropical paradise.:) (though of course, snow is another matter...)

I love the afternoon sun the most; I'd choose sunset over sunrise. Watching the sun give way quietly to the moon is about one of the most serene sceneries I've ever experienced.

I know the words Love Sick seem unrelated but it caught my attention; there's just something about summer, colours and being so unreasonably in love that gives off that very young and carefree vibe.

And also, this post is to introduce Tofi, my Angora! Tofi was originally spelled as Toffee--because of her color, but now I think Tofi reads more uniquely when written. Heh. She's been with me for a year now yet I've taken very few pictures of her. My reasons are inexcusable: I've been busy, I've been busy, and I've been busy :( But since I was quite free a fortnight ago we decided to take her out for grooming then let her run about outdoors for the first time!

We didn't expect though, that she'd be so scared being outdoors! She just stationed herself near our feet the whole time.and when it was time to go home, she even jumped into her carrier herself without being told!

Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful summer (in this part of the world, at least) and are enjoying lots of sun, sea, sand and love! As for me I'm still vacationless at this moment T.T but I am okay with it, looking forward to travelling again, oh how I miss it! But I guess not this year yet :(

I'm a self confessed weirdo, and more than once all my friends have told me this in one way or another. Can't help it, I just tell myself it's another form of "special". Lol

*See them knitted brows* Didn't manage to get nice full shots that day because we (boyfriend and I) went to the embassy then and by the time we were through we were just so tired and with the merciless sun making us all sweaty, no one was really in the mood to take photos (except me maybe). Have I told you guys my favorite color is yellow? I love how the sudden shock of bright shoes makes the whole look appear cheery and youthful.

Anyway, recently I've been in a depressed state and lost confidence in myself again, thus the lack of updates. I just want to hide and hibernate and shut myself off from the whole world, but I know I'm truly not that person! We always have choices and the world won't wait for us to decide. Thanks to Gwen, I was given the privilege to meet Rachel Edlich, one of two founders of the Radical Skincare line, the other of which is Liz Edlich, daughters of renowned professor of plastic surgery, Dr. Richard F. Edlich, MD.PHD. Held at Escentials, Paragon, we were ushered in to hear Rachel tell us the inspiring story behind the family legacy and their journey towards their vision of creating the most powerful and potent skincare in the market.

It all started when Rachel started suffering from Rosacea from her second child, while Liz, on the other hand, was troubled by the signs of ageing that has started to take their toll on her skin. Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads

"Exfoliates, firms, and reduces pores size. Helps promote cell turnover and accelerate Radical Skincare performance." I liked these pads! We tried them and it intensively cleaned my skin together with removing dead cells. It's also unique since it doesn't require rubbing your face with rough material, like most exfoliants are.

Eek! This is just a part of my neck that I rubbed with the exfoliating pads. Didn't dare to continue so as not to disgust Alene beside me, haha.

SPF30 Skin Perfecting Sun Screen

"An ideal, multi-protection, multi-function screen for skin exposed to sunlight" This is another of their products that piqued my interest. It is very light, not at all sticky, and no sunscreen smell at all. Definitely NOT all the things that we hate in a sunscreen.

Apart from these, we were able to take home and try three of the other skincare products, happy bloggers we were! After the talk, Rachel was very friendly and patiently answered our questions one by one. I asked her regarding--well what else--my acne issue and would I have any problems with the products? She was very honest and advised me that since its target is anti-ageing and not acne prevention, I may try it first on one part of my face, perhaps the jaw line and wait for the results, but let me rest assured that it is powerful yet gentle at the same time. As mentioned earlier, she had Rosacea and this helped heal her troubled skin then.

Instant Revitalizing Mask

APPLICATION
Apply a thin layer to cleansed, dry skin. Leave to dry for several minutes before rinsing. Use twice a week or as required.

REVIEW
It was quite fun to use this mask and it certainly was different from all other masks I've tried. It'll start to form a foam-like texture on your face, I then wash it off after 3-5 minutes and my skin would feel really soft to the touch.

REVIEW
I'm happy to report that this serum did not break me out whatsoever! It doesn't have a strong scent and is very light in texture. As with serums though that aid your cell turnover, do give it more than a week to show visible results. I am still continuously using it and I feel that it is helping me maintain a healthier and more radiant skin.

Anti Aging Restorative Moisture Creme

"Reduces wrinkles, hydrates, and evens skin tone. Formula boosts skin firmness and elasticity." This is more for women whose main concerns are signs of ageing, especially wrinkles.

REVIEW

I recommend this to those who have really dry skin, and whose main concern are wrinkles. To someone like me who has a very oily face, use this cautiously as it is quite thick and apply only to areas of concern, and not the whole face.
